Pop | Rotoscope Animation Project
Pop is a short rotoscope animation about the struggle of opening a jar of peppers. That’s it. This was my first attempt at rotoscoping, and it took about a month to create from the idea to final product. The main goal of my rotoscope was to explore storytelling using limited visual elements and taking it to the EXTREME (kinda). I had a lot of fun working on this and that’s what mattered to me the most. This project made me want to try experimenting more with this animation technique (this is immediate foreshadowing).

Re[B]eat | Final Showcase Rotoscope
Re[B]eat is an animation about my experience in 2021-2022. When the pandemic was still ongoing, I felt like I was living each day on repeat. My routine hardly changed for months while attending school and I often pondered about that when I was riding the bus home. This was an idea I wanted to express for the longest time, and I finally found the opportunity to do it in the form of this project. Due to project requirements, I used an audio recording of my own heartbeat, hence the animation name.

I used the program Clip Studio Paint EX for the animation itself. Most of the SFX were recorded using a Zoom H4n.
