Cassandra Allenby

Research Area:

Game Engine and Electronic Interface Development

Research Interests

  • Designing game systems for art, communication and learning
  • Immersive environments and the effect it has on memory/persuasion
  • The ethics of using technology, and its effect on human populations around the globe

Current Project

Cassandra is currently exploring how to leverage game mechanics to stimulate effective curiosity and better communication, as an art form medium. This can take form of a pervasive game or any immersive environment that has a goal beyond just to entertain.

Cassandra’s life revolves around games, whether it be studying or playing them. Disenchanted with the idea of working for a game company to create the next blockbuster hit, she decided to pursue academia instead to study the issues surrounding games, immersive environments, persuasion technology, and tech ethics.
