The trick was, order to win, it did not matter which door you chose, as long as you chose in under three seconds.

Even though the animations shown before are randomly generated, many players claimed that they saw patterns in the animations and based their choice of door on the pattern they supposedly saw.

A select few players managed to win, because they had, by chance, chosen in under three seconds. They were so confident in the pattern they saw, they did not hesitate when selecting a door. This furthered the rumour that there was a pattern after all, and more players began to win, not because they figured out the trick, but because of their absolute belief in a particular pattern.

The project brief was to explore superstition, this program does that by demonstrating how superstitions can originate.
