‘Back Home/Out East’ is about exploring Nova Scotia through user-driven micro experiences. Each illustration was inspired by my childhood home on the north shore. My technical focus was animation and experimenting with the Bodymovin plugin + Lottie.js library for After Effects. I used Scrollmagic.js + GSAP to create the scrolling transitions between environments, the p5.play library to create the Barn Cat Game and open source code resources for building out the site.
