I wanted to create a link between frequency of sound and visuals. I also wanted to focus on Virtual Reality and really learn how to make a virtual space come to life. The original concept was a little shaky as I really am never confident about what I want. I usually have a broad idea and feel in my head, because my imagination is usually a lot more vivid than the product. In a perfect world where everything has no monetary value and technology is fully obtainable; my product would look more like the images in my imagination. As the project progressed I got the idea to link visible frequency to sound frequency and thus the rainbow got incorporated and directly link to tones of sound.
A lot of things were modified along the way, such as I thought I would only need the wires that I had, but I really needed an audio splitter to run my head phones and subwoofer. I incorporated headphones into the project because the speaker on the phone would vibrate the whole headset at a very high frequency, thus causing some harsh visual disruptions. As well the headphones created a better feeling of immersion.
